Qualifications
Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification in the respective Division and subject area
Experience in stated assignment preferred
Special Education qualifications required for ABLE/Resource/Intensive Services positions
Special Education qualifications preferred for positions at A.M.S.S.
French qualifications and fluency in French required for French Immersion positions
Guidance Part 1 required for Guidance positions
Co-Op Part 1 required for Co-Op positions
Special Education Part 1 required for Student Success positions
Special Education Part 1 required for ALLP positions
Experience with committee work including Literacy, MDT team, and safe schools is an asset for Student Success positions
Knowledge of current curriculum directions
Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff
Positive interaction as part of the school team
Consistent and fair classroom management
Working with youth in a variety of settings
Working with Indigenous youth is an asset
Electronic report card experience is an asset
Computer skills are an asset
