Full Time Community Librarian

Location: Forest

Elevate community library services as a Community Librarian with the County of Lambton. This full-time role emphasizes outreach, program development, and excellent customer service to enhance local engagement.

As a Community Librarian within Lambton County, you will play a vital role in delivering frontline customer service and developing outreach programs that cater to local needs. This role involves working closely with Public Services Coordinators and other stakeholders to identify programming trends and demographic needs in the community. Your efforts will help increase the usage of library resources while promoting lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and deliver engaging community programs

• Partner with local organizations and stakeholders

• Provide in-depth readers' advisory services

• Conduct library tours and instructional programming

• Train library staff on catalog and resources usage

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science

• At least six months in a service-related role

• Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic databases

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
