The Indigenous Graduation Coach plays a vital role in implementing programs and services tailored for Indigenous students' unique needs. You will work closely with school staff, parents, and Indigenous community leaders to create supportive networks. The position demands a strong understanding of local Indigenous perspectives and the Ontario curriculum, ensuring the best outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead programming aimed at Indigenous student success
• Collaborate with school staff and communities
• Organize activities that foster engagement and support
• Assist in improving graduation rates and student well-being
• Advocate for the needs of Indigenous students
Requirements:
• College or university degree in related field preferred
• Experience engaging with local Indigenous communities
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Knowledge of relevant educational laws and policies
• Willingness to travel within the district
Support Indigenous students and help them thrive academically as part of LKDSB.
