Suncor is seeking an Engineering Associate to support operations and maintenance at the Sarnia refinery. You will be tasked with engineering calculations, overseeing project reviews, and crafting recommendations based on engineering standards. This position requires a proactive approach in identifying process equipment issues and delivering solutions that enhance operational safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations
• Oversee reviews of new projects and proposed changes
• Craft scoping studies and design basis memorandums
• Calculate economic justifications for capital projects
• Participate in hazard reviews for ongoing projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in refining or related field
• Professional Engineering designation preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Deep understanding of refinery processes
