Trans Alta is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to bring expertise to our engineering team. This role is full-time and safety-sensitive, with a travel requirement of up to 30%. Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and managing engineering projects to enhance power generation reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive maintenance plans and forecasts

• Manage project scopes for upgrades and repairs

• Investigate mechanical equipment issues effectively

• Write procurement specifications and obtain bids

• Mentor Engineers and Engineers-in-Training

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; eligible for P.Eng. designation

• 4-6 years relevant power generation experience

• Strong background in equipment troubleshooting

• Skilled in reviewing engineering designs and modifications

• Expertise in condition monitoring interpretation
