What Role You Will Play in Our Team
As an Engineering Intern, you will support one of our specialized teams within the refinery operations, including Process Engineering, Applications & Systems, Environmental Engineering, or Maintenance Reliability Engineer. You will work closely with integrated teams to support day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives, ensuring safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operations.

What You'll Do
In the Process Engineer intern role, responsibilities may include:

Collaborate with operations, reliability, and automation engineers to support safe and reliable unit operation.

Identify, develop, and implement operational and facility improvements focusing on safety, reliability, economics, and sustainability.

Communicate the status of unit operations, improvement opportunities, and operating costs to various stakeholders.

Support routine energy, environmental, and cost reporting

Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority

Develop new applications and maintain the performance of existing ones.

Support software/database requirements.

About you

Skills and Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process Control, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering from a Canadian Accredited University.

University Engineering student available for a work term beginning in January or May 2027

Currently enrolled in a University Engineering program and returning to full-time studies after the work term

Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills

Preferred Qualifications /Experience

Commitment to safety.

Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented individuals who enjoy working with people and achieving superior results.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment.

Previous industry experience is beneficial but not essential.

4, 8, 12, or 16 months

January or May 2027

The expected annual salary range for this position is $63,600.00 - $82,320.00. Individual pay will be determined based on various factors, which may include skills, abilities, qualifications, work experience, and education.
