Position: Geotechnical Advisor for Construction Projects
Join Vertex as a Geotechnical Construction Advisor focusing on southwestern Ontario projects. Your expertise will guide site logistics, advise clients, and ensure safety compliance on active construction sites.

In this role, you will advise clients and contractors on geotechnical matters. With a strong background in civil or geotechnical engineering, you'll assess subgrade conditions and provide insights into soil behavior and groundwater issues. Your practical knowledge will assist in the successful execution of construction logistics and earthworks phasing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on geotechnical conditions and construction sequencing

• Assess field conditions and flag design departure issues

• Prepare field notes and escalate significant findings

• Coordinate with remote geotechnical teams and contractors

• Mentor junior engineers in practical geotechnical knowledge

Requirements:

• Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering

• P.Eng. in good standing preferred

• Practical knowledge of southwestern Ontario soils

• Experience on active construction sites

• Valid Class G driver's licence and own transportation
