Job Description
Our Housekeepers know this is about more than cleaning — it’s about creating a welcoming, safe environment where Residents feel comfortable and cared for. Every task you do helps support dignity and quality of life.

If you were working with us as a Housekeeper , here are some of the things you would have done last week:

Performed light cleaning duties in Residents’ households, including dusting furniture, mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning wash basins, mirrors, showers, and tubs, and safely disposing of garbage from Residents’ rooms

Cleaned public and high-traffic areas by mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, washing windows, and emptying trash containers

Completed cleaning of designated areas in line with established procedures, daily routines, and hygiene requirements for both morning and evening shifts

Operated housekeepingequipment safely and effectively

Provided efficient, courteous, and respectful service to Residents at all times

Followed WHMIS legislation and safe handling procedures for all chemicals used within the department

Worked cooperatively with other departments to support housekeepingoperations

Followed established routines and direction from the Resident Services Manager

And supported your team as needed.

Qualifications
To be hired into this role, you must have:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

Experience in housekeeping (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset)

Preferred experience in Seniors Living / Retirement

Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto-scrubber, vacuum, etc.)

Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
