Building Cleaner

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Building Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in our commercial building. You will be working in tenant units as well as common areas, so professionalism, discretion, and a customer-first attitude are essential to this role.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors
• Dust furniture and surfaces
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
• Clean building units while respecting tenants' space and belongings
• Communicate courteously with tenants and staff, and respond to cleaning requests or concerns promptly
• Maintain the confidentiality of any tenant information, documents, or property encountered while working in units
• Report any maintenance, safety, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Workers Awareness Certificate
• Previous cleaning experience required
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to plan and organize job tasks effectively
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly demeanour
• Demonstrated integrity and the ability to respect confidentiality and privacy
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety standards, including safe handling of cleaning products
