About The RoleCARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech) is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our collision repair facility. This role is responsible for overseeing production, estimating, customer service, quality control, and team performance in Sarnia, Ontario. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Production
- Oversee the complete repair process from intake through delivery
- Manage production flow, scheduling, and throughput to meet cycle-time targets
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM, CARSTAR, and insurer standards
Estimating & Insurance Interface
- Oversee estimating accuracy, documentation quality, and supplement execution
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for insurers, including image desk and virtual appraisers
- Ensure files progress efficiently and in line with DRP requirements
DRP Performance
- Own operational performance against DRP scorecards (cycle time, CSI, compliance, documentation)
- Proactively address issues impacting insurer performance metrics
Customer Experience
- Ensure a professional, transparent customer experience from start to finish
- Handle escalated customer concerns with confidence and care
- Maintain strong CSI and online review results
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support all on-site staff
- Manage scheduling, performance feedback, and day-to-day supervision
- Identify staffing needs and work with head office on hiring and training
Parts, Quality & Detail
- Oversee parts coordination to support production flow
- Ensure consistent quality control throughout the repair process
- Oversee final detail and delivery presentation
- 5+ years of leadership experience in collision repair or a related automotive environment
- Strong understanding of production management, estimating, and insurer interaction
- Experience working with image desk or virtual appraisal processes
- Confident people leader with strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, accountable, and results-drive
