Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading building envelope solution supplier that effectively drives energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are seeking a Slitter Operator in our Petrolia Henry Plant. Rotating shifts. Starting Pay: $24.92 + $1.45 nights + $2.30 weekends.
This position is a unionized role within our production team. You will be required to learn, understand, and put into practice all of our policies and procedures to help manufacture the highest quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will routinely perform your duties with minimal supervision, independently, and in a team with another operator. You must be able to work in an environment with many distractions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.
No travel is required for this position.
- Operate slitting/packaging cell to cut, package, and label various rolled roofing products
- Provide support to maintenance team members to help troubleshoot machine issues and make improvements (optimization) within the department
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results
- Perform daily walks around your work area to ensure guards and safety devices are in place
- Perform checks on safety equipment and record results as part of an ongoing safety program
- Perform checks to validate the acceptability of product packaging and product counts
- Perform other duties as required

- Working knowledge of safety standards WHMIS
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to uphold confidentiality
- Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Team Leader
- High School Diploma required or equivalent
- Two to Three Years of Manufacturing experience
- Experience working with manufacturing machines is an asset
- Manufacturing Plant environment where the plants may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings
- Monday – Sunday; 7:00 am – 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
- Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor
- Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) on the production floor
- Other PPE as defined by management within the assigned department
