Adecco is currently seeking a Manual Operator for an ongoing temporary opportunity based in Sarnia, ON, offering a competitive hourly rate of $22/hour.
In this role, you will support daily operations by handling, inspecting, repairing, and cleaning metal crates while following strict safety and quality standards. This position is ideal for someone hands-on, reliable, and comfortable with physical work in an industrial environment.

  • Job type: Full-time | Temporary (ongoing)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect metal crates and perform light repairs, including reshaping, painting, and metallization by brush or spray
  • Remove tags, waste, and plastic bags; sort change pieces and manage waste materials
  • Handle and reshape metal sheets as required
  • Wash metal crates using a power washer and rinse thoroughly on all sides and the bottom
  • Manually close crates once they are clean and dry
  • Grease locks, apply spray galvanization when required, and complete finishing stage control according to quality standards
  • Receive, open, and prepare crates using hooks and manual tools
  • Perform hefting, washing, and multiple levels of repair on metal crates
Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Previous experience in manual labour, industrial, or warehouse environments
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, washing, shaping, and handling metal crates
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, mallets, hammers, hooks, and pin drifts
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
  • Ability to follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a small team
  • Safety-focused, reliable, and dependable
