The County of Lambton invites applications for a Registered Practical Nurse role within its Long-Term Care Homes. In this position, you will assess Elders’ needs through the RAI-MDS tool, administer treatments, and document care.
Your role will involve mentoring students and guiding Personal Support Workers to deliver top-notch Elder care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer medications and assess their effectiveness
• Maintain detailed documentation of care and incidents
• Educate families and staff on care processes
• Carry out RAI-MDS assessments and develop care plans
• Ensure Elders' comfort during palliative phases
Requirements:
• Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing required
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Physical capability to meet job demands
• Effective communication and mentoring skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a care team
