This position focuses on ensuring comprehensive care for elderly residents by monitoring individual needs with the RAI-MDS tool. You'll be responsible for documenting care, administering treatments, and collaborating with both families and the healthcare team. Emphasize educating others while mentoring clinical placements to enhance overall elder care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide the nursing team on elder care practices
• Administer medications and treatments accurately
• Chart elder progress and communicate needs
• Complete RAI-MDS assessments and plans
• Provide support to Personal Support Workers
Requirements:
• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma required
• Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Ability to handle physical job demands
• Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation
• Strong communication with elder populations
