School Shift Nurse (Day Shifts) – Supporting Pediatric Clients

Bayshore Health Care is seeking passionate and caring Registered Nurses to support two pediatric school clients beginning in September.

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Pickup location:
Kettle Point, ON. Drop‑off location:
Forest, ON. Transportation will be via the school bus with the nurse accompanying the client at all times.

• Arrive at the client's home in Kettle Point by 7:00 AM to assist with morning preparations for the school day.
• Ensure all care needs are completed prior to departure, including feeding, securing necessary medical equipment, and preparing suction supplies.
• Accompany the client on the school bus to and from school.
• Provide nursing support throughout the school day.
• Ride the bus back to the client’s home at the end of the school day, with an expected return time of approximately 3:00 PM.
• Provide client care by utilizing observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching.
• Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and provincial standards.
• Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
• Observe and document client conditions and changes following proper standards.
• Understand and implement infection prevention practices.
• Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities.
• Adhere to Bayshore policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in proactive health & safety activities; report risks or concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
• Complete other tasks as requested.

• Graduate from an accredited or recognized School of Nursing (evidence required).
• Current RN registration in good standing with the applicable provincial licensing body.
• Valid CPR certification.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening.
• Proof of being free from TB.
• Two supervisory references.
• Depending on provincial regulations and position, proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID‑19, Hepatitis, Seasonal Flu, etc., may be required.
• Medical exemptions or accommodations may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
