DescriptionThe warehouse associated role will assist in all warehouse operations. This role will involve warehouse activities such as shipping and receiving, loading and off‑loading of trucks and all other duties assigned.
Duties and responsibilities- Complete an Operator safety training course on Counterbalance and Reach style forklifts.
- Perform safety checklist on forklifts and cranes.
- Report any maintenance and repairs required to warehouse lead ASAP.
- Lifting or moving valves that range from 5 to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Forklifts and cranes are to be used for heavier products.
- Perform daily cycle counts first thing every morning and submit to warehouse lead.
- Daily house cleaning required. Such as sweeping and emptying garbage cans or whatever else may be asked.
- Unpack inventory or incoming material using supplied put-away reports.
- Examine this material to ensure there is no damage and no shortages.
- Report any damage or shorts to the warehouse lead immediately.
- Assist with preparing orders for shipping. This will include pulling the correct product, recording heat numbers, and packing the product for shipment.
- Working with saws, nail guns, and compressors.
- Affix shipping labels to the boxes or pallets prior to couriers picking up.
- Making and attaching SS tags to valves when required to do so.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure the weights and dimensions are accurate.
- Occasional overtime required after hours and or weekends.
- Minimum 1+ year experience in industrial supply and or shipping and receiving.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior forklift experience would be an asset, but training will be provided.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Pay strong attention to detail, stay organized and ability to solve problems.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of activity, multitasking and stay efficient in a results driven environment.
