Accounting Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs 2026) – Full-time, Contract, In-Person (8 weeks, 35 hrs per week, $17.60 hourly). Reports to Director of Finance. Date posted:
May 07, 2026.

Responsible for supporting the Finance Department in areas such as bank and accounts reconciliation, invoice entries, petty cash reporting and other related accounting tasks.

• Prepares banks and accounts reconciliation
• Process petty cash, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable daily
• Inputs data into various databases

• Pursuing or completed education in B Commerce, Accounting, or Finance

• Previous accounting experience an asset
• Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point
• Strong organization skills and accurate filing and record keeping
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly action-oriented and results-oriented
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-cultural team

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. International students are not eligible to apply.
• Have a Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations.
