This senior position involves full-cycle bookkeeping, managing payroll systems, and preparing government filings. You will also mentor junior team members, ensuring that all bookkeeping tasks run efficiently and accurately.
Your role is vital in completing financial closings and maintaining GL accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping responsibilities for clients
• Prepare payroll, WCB transactions, and government remittances
• Facilitate T4s, T5s, and Records of Employment preparation
• Provide training to junior staff members
• Monitor GL accounts for discrepancies and resolutions
Requirements:
• Certificate or diploma in business or accounting
• At least 3 years in full-cycle bookkeeping
• Experience with QBO or Xero is preferred
• Basic accounting principles knowledge
• Familiarity with Quick Books Desktop and Sage 50
