Payroll Specialist

Position: Payroll Specialist for City
Become a critical part of the City of Saskatoon as a Payroll Specialist. This temporary full-time role ensures the accurate processing of payroll while providing support to employees and departments.

In this position, reporting to the Corporate Payroll Manager, you will handle day-to-day payroll processing for the corporation. Your expertise in payroll practices and knowledge of SAP S4/HANA will be essential as you manage special pay, adjustments, and deductions. Ensuring compliance with laws and union agreements, your role involves reviewing payroll data and responding to inquiries effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll data from various departments

• Calculate and execute special payments and adjustments

• Reconcile deductions and prepare payroll summaries

• Generate payroll earnings and tax reports in Excel

• Distribute payroll information across departments

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and PCP certification

• 5 years of related payroll experience

• Experience with SAP S4/HANA or related ERP

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence
