SummaryResponsible for accurately recording audits daily totals in a timely manner, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Revenue Accounting Department. Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members, performs excellent customer service, prepares journal entries, tracks coupons used on property, sorts and records complimentary receipts, reconciles accounts, monitors financial activities, evaluates situations related to revenue audits, facilitates information flow, ensures accuracy of departmental records, maintains regular attendance, and performs reasonable requests from management.
Responsibilities- Accurately record audits daily totals in a timely manner.
- Interact effectively with the public and Team Members.
- Perform excellent customer service at all times.
- Prepare journal entries and track coupons used on property.
- Sort and record complimentary receipts.
- Reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist with monitoring all financial activities on property to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the company, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and Gaming Commission.
- Evaluate various situations related to revenue audits and determine appropriate handling.
- Facilitate the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness in departmental records and reports.
- Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Perform any reasonable requests made by management.
- High school diploma or GED required; some college courses in accounting or related area preferred.
- Effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience with audits preferred.
- Extremely numbers‑oriented, proficient with 10‑key by touch and computer‑literate with proficiency in Excel.
- Must be able to pass proficiency tests in Microsoft Excel and 10‑key.
- Must be of legal age to enter gaming areas.
- Ability to comprehend basic instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form and respond to common inquiries or complaints.
- Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning ability: ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.
- Physical demands: ability to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception). Possible exposure to radiations and noise on casino floor.
