Assistant Manager Accounting

Lead financial reporting and accounting analysis as Assistant Manager of Accounting at Saskatoon Public Schools, working on-site at Central Office.

This full-time permanent position supports the Manager of Accounting and General Manager of Financial Services. You will help administer financial policies, plans, systems, and processes while maintaining accurate financial information. The work includes reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

• Prepare financial statements and year-end audit files
• Respond to auditor and Ministry of Education inquiries
• Maintain financial policies, procedures, and documentation
• Analyze financial information from multiple sources
• Lead junior accounting staff and oversee business functions

• Commerce or Business Administration degree majoring in accounting
• Professional accounting designation, CPA, or equivalent qualifications
• Four to six years of progressively responsible experience
• Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board standards
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
