The Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) is hiring a Full-Time Case Assistant for Disability Services. This role is integral in managing the administrative aspects of disability claims, enhancing team support.
As a Case Assistant, you will provide crucial administrative help to the Disability Services Team, enabling them to manage disability cases more efficiently. You will gather medical documentation, facilitate assessment bookings, and maintain communication with covered members and providers to ensure everything runs smoothly in this essential position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist claims staff in adhering to process timelines
• Compile and send medical information for various referrals
• Draft correspondence for follow-up with medical providers
• Organize assessments and confirm dates with healthcare contacts
• Coordinate travel arrangements for covered members
Requirements:
• High school diploma plus additional relevant education
• Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative experience in health or insurance
• Familiarity with disability management software is an asset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
