The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a working knowledge of various civil and residential construction means and methods.
Your contributions to the team:
Perform civil works coordination, inspections, and quantity measurement
Check grades and elevations of newly installed infrastructure
Monitor and coordinate contractor progress to ensure work is completed within construction schedule
Check for compliance to plans and specifications
Review and confirmation of monthly progress worksheets and measurements
Maintain an as-built planand communicate changes to Civil Team
Follow up on deficiencies to ensure timely correction and completion of work
Assure compliance with the project construction schedule and budgets
Uphold the job-related safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project quality standards
Use best efforts to resolve any scheduling challenges/disputes between on-site subcontractors and suppliers.
What you need to be successful:
High School Diploma/GED Completion
Valid Driver’s License, class 3 would be an asset
Minimum 2 years of civil construction experience
Minimum 2 years of experience overseeing project sites/civil crews is an asset
Equipment operation is an asset
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Understanding of methodology and terminology in the civil construction industry
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction drawings
Working experience in earthworks and utility installation
Results-focused with a proven track record of accomplishments in the construction field
Ability to travel and work on various job sites at different territorial locations
