Position: Electrical Field Foreman )

Who We Are

Rising Edge Group is an electrical contracting company founded in 2002, specializing in high‑voltage electrical solutions that power critical infrastructure across North America. With operations in both Canada and the United States, we partner with clients across the electrical utilities, renewable energy, and industrial sectors to design, build, and maintain the critical infrastructure systems communities and industries rely on.

What You’ll Do

Directly reporting to the Construction Manager/Site Supervisor, the Field Foreman is responsible for managing and overseeing specific on‑site construction activities. The Field Foreman is expected to lead a small crew while ensuring project construction is executed effectively, within budget, and in compliance with all project requirements.

This role is applicable for projects where a Construction Manager/Site Supervisor can no longer effectively oversee large crews or several crews working at remote sites (i.e., major projects and/or collector systems).

  • Ensure assigned construction activities are executed in compliance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budget, safety, and quality requirements and standards.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed up to Rising Edge standards and that all workers/subcontractors follow REG policy.
  • Receive and review daily/weekly work packages, advise on work package planning, and ensure crews arrive on time and work efficiently.
  • Submit daily progress reports and crew timesheets to the Construction Manager/Site Supervisor.
  • Act as liaison between the Construction Manager/Site Supervisor and the assigned work crew.
  • Support implementation of company on‑site safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Document and report all injuries, file Notice of Injury/Accident reports, and communicate to Management.
  • Work closely with Management to meet construction timelines through efficient use of on‑site resources, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain quality of workmanship per design documents and perform daily QA documentation, photography, and data return tasks.
  • Mentor, train, and motivate the job‑site crew in a safety‑first culture.
  • Support audit and inspection activities and maintain organized material and equipment inventories.
  • Facilitate safety package completion, tail‑board meetings, permit verification, equipment inspections, and record keeping.
Additional Information

This position is designated as safety‑sensitive, making employment contingent upon successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing, as well as criminal and general background checks.

Schedule

Schedule rotations range from 4 days on/3 days off or 8 days on/6 days off, 21 days on/7 days off, etc. Standard workdays are 10 hours (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). Overtime is paid at time and a half after 10 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Out‑of‑town work includes either all‑inclusive camp accommodations or LOA and individual accommodations (project dependent).
