The HSE Coordinator is integral in promoting health and safety within project teams and is responsible for mentoring and guiding the workforce, especially local Tahltan workers. Your expertise in the BC Mine Act will be essential for ensuring compliance and enhancing safety practices. Collaborate closely with the HSE Superintendent to implement effective health safety strategies on-site while maintaining communication with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a positive safety culture with project managers

• Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments

• Mentor staff on health and safety standards

• Ensure compliance with the BC Mine Act and regulations

• Maintain all HSE documentation and training records

Requirements:

• Health and Safety certification such as CRST or CHSC

• At least 3 years of relevant experience

• Familiarity with the mining or construction industry

• Strong computer skills for documentation

• Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills
