Contour Developments is seeking a highly skilled Formwork Carpenters and proficient labourers with expertise in concrete and carpentry work. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our concrete and general construction projects. Your primary responsibilities include executing tasks safely and in strict compliance with OH&S legislation and company policies. Your dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and timeliness is vital to our success.
These positions are for construction projects spanning across Canada. As part of our commitment to your success, we offer air travel to construction locations (with expenses covered by Contour) and provide a Live Out Allowance (LOA) as part of the employment package.
Skills
- Proficiently prepare and assemble structural formwork for concrete foundations.
- Skilled in installing reinforcing materials.
- Capable of interpreting and comprehending blueprints accurately.
- Experienced in the construction of suspended slabs and the erection of columns.
- Proficient in concrete placement and finishing techniques.
- Competent in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding.
- Able to carry out mobilization and demobilization tasks effectively
Responsibilities
- Diligently prepare and assemble structural formwork for concrete foundations.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain a positive attitude while prioritizing teamwork.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement within the concrete construction trade.
- Proficiently interpret and apply knowledge of drawings and blueprints.
- Prioritize safety as a core value in all tasks and actions.
- Possess a substantial 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- Maintain full vaccination status for travel requirements.
- Communicate effectively through various channels, including email, text messaging, and phone calls.
Qualifications
- Brings over 5 years of valuable experience in the construction field.
- Holds a valid driver's license.
- Possession of a Journey person certificate is considered advantageous.
