The College of Dentistry is excited to announce the establishment of a new Dental Hygiene Degree Program, featuring a unique option for evening lectures and clinics. In support of this new program and other programs in the College, we are seeking applications for two (2) instructor position
s in scope of the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Association (USFA). The College is seeking graduates from an accredited Dental Hygiene program who have experience in teaching and administrative level. Applicants who have previous teaching and mentoring experience in Dental hygiene or Dentistry programs in Canada will be considered an asset.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. Applicants must be adept to working in a clinical teaching setting with shifting priorities. The work can be complex in nature and work volume will fluctuate with peak periods that will require additional effort. Candidates must have a proven track record of effectively working in a team environment, have a pleasant disposition and proven ability to foster and maintain collegial relations.
The successful candidate will be required to exercise sound judgment, independent decision-making, discretion, and sensitivity as these positions are privy to and work with sensitive and confidential information. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office are required.
Salary information for this position for the academic year is $74,789 - $117,629. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is usually common and possible in the College of Dentistry. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan, pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long-term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
