Job Description
The – Saskatoon and , Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases seek adult infectious diseases specialists to join their team on a locum term basis. The successful applicants will work in a multidisciplinary care environment.
The Division of Infectious Diseases in Saskatoon consists of six clinicians who specialize in adult infectious diseases and provide service delivery at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital, and St Paul’s Hospital. Members are actively involved in the Saskatchewan Infectious Disease Care Network which provides HIV and Hep C support to marginalized neighbourhoods in Saskatoon and northern communities in Saskatchewan.
Members are also part of the Infection Prevention and Control team and the Antimicrobial Stewardship program. Local service needs also include HIV, chronic viral hepatitis, TB and transplant .
Job Qualifications
Candidates are required to hold certification with the in internal medicine and infectious diseases and be eligible for licensure with the . Certification in medical microbiology or additional training in infection control would be an asset.
