Position: Consultant General Surgeon Wanted
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is hiring a Consultant General Surgeon for the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Focus on both elective procedures and urgent surgical care in a dynamic clinical environment.

As a Consultant in General Surgery with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will be integral to our healthcare team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Your responsibilities include managing elective surgeries and acute emergencies while also training and assessing junior staff. Moreover, collaboration on service enhancement and fulfilling administrative duties will be key elements of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality elective General Surgical Services

• Manage and address Acute Surgical Emergencies effectively

• Participate in training junior surgical members

• Fulfill administrative consultant requirements

• Teach and mentor medical students and surgical trainees

Requirements:

• Appropriate surgical training and full GMC registration

• Evidence of completing Higher Specialist Training (CCT)

• Non-UK applicants to demonstrate equivalent qualifications

• Engage in surgical education programs

• Rotate on-call duties as required
