Coordinator of Student and Learning Services Overview

The Coordinator of Student and Learning Services is a full‑time, continuing position starting on August 25, 2026. As a key member of a collaborative system leadership team, the Coordinator supports the realization of the GSCS Student Learning Model and contributes to division‑wide initiatives aligned with Board Goals and Priorities, Division Areas of Focus, School Learning Improvement Plans, and Skilled Learning Communities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership across Student Services, focusing on inclusive, responsive, and equitable programming for students from Pre‑Kindergarten through Grade 12.
  • Lead division‑wide initiatives in Focused Intervention to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Serve as the division leader for the Mathematics curriculum (K‑12), supporting the implementation of high‑quality math instruction through professional learning, instructional leadership, and evidence‑based practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to strengthen assessment literacy, deepen mathematical understanding, and improve student engagement and achievement in mathematics at all grade levels.
  • Demonstrate innovative, relational, and faith‑filled leadership in a dynamic environment, building strong communication, collaboration, and team‑building skills.
  • Adapt portfolios over time in response to emerging student and system needs.
Qualifications
  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate.
  • Strong commitment to the ideals and principles of Catholic education.
  • Master''s Degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding and leadership of Quality Core Instruction and the GSCS Student Learning Model.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to prioritize and respond to the emerging social‑emotional needs of students.
  • Strong understanding of trauma‑informed practices.
  • Knowledge and application of culturally responsive, relational pedagogy.
  • Proven instructional leadership that supports inclusive and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and application of research‑based instructional and assessment practices.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership in adult professional learning.
  • Strong interprofessional skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently.
