Part Time (.5) Faculty II Instructor – Continuing Care Assistant Program

ResponsibilitiesTo provide practical and theoretical instruction of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Continuing Care Assistant Certificate program, as well as program support to students. Instructor will be responsible for the planning and delivery of classes and labs, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance.
QualificationsCandidate must be a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a degree in Nursing Education or related subject area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience subject to approval by Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Candidates must be eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses’ Association of Saskatchewan. Two (2) years’ recent/relevant work experience that must include experience in gerontology, home care and special care.
Requires up-to-date TLR, CPR Level C with AED, PART, and WHMIS. Experience in adult education and instruction, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with people from various equity groups are required. Experience in long-term care is an asset.
