Instructor – ICT – Continuing Education Contract COMP 170 – Basic Computer Operation
Responsibilities include:
Instruct COMP 170 (Basic Computer Operation) through D2L for program‑based and unclassified students.
Assist students with course content via email or phone.
Schedule and mark assignments and exams, maintaining D2L content.
Supervise students enrolled in the course.
Qualifications &
Experience:
Four‑year degree or two‑year diploma in Computer Science or related field with programming and/or database management experience.
Post‑secondary teaching experience; familiarity with COMP 170 curriculum preferred.
Experience teaching COMP 170 in classroom or online preferred.
Proficiency in internet, e‑mail, MS Office, and adaptability to changing technology.
Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
Instructional ability, teamwork, and valuing diversity.
Contract Details:
Contract period:
September 1 – December 15, 2026.
Pay: $60 per hour.
Three hours per enrolled student.
Location:
Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Saskatoon Campus.
