Position: SEN Teacher with GSL Education in York

GSL Education seeks a skilled SEN Teacher for a full-time role in York starting January 2026. This position is ideal for those passionate about supporting students with additional needs.

In this teaching role, you’ll provide personalized instruction for students with SEND, including autism and SEMH challenges. Responsibilities include creating tailored lesson plans that meet individual needs, collaborating with support staff, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all learners. Your patient demeanor will support emotional development and help students achieve their EHCP targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personalize lesson delivery for diverse learning requirements

• Assist in achieving EHCP goals through targeted support

• Encourage students’ emotional growth and independence

• Work in consort with educational support and external professionals

Requirements:

• QTS with experience in SEN education

• Familiarity with SEND strategies and differentiation

• Calm, patient teaching style

• Enhanced DBS on Update Service criteria

• Commitment to child safety and safeguarding best practices
