Elementary Social Worker

Make a difference in the lives of students as an Elementary Social Worker with Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. Deliver group and individual counselling while collaborating in a faith-oriented environment.

In this role, you will provide essential counselling services in various elementary schools, working closely with students, families, and educational staff. A strong understanding of Indigenous counselling practices is vital, as this position emphasizes community engagement and culturally responsive strategies. You will work in a supportive team to respond to students' social-emotional needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct group and individual student counselling sessions

• Work with parents and staff to enhance student engagement

• Implement prevention and intervention programs in schools

• Lead professional development on engagement and resilience

• Foster a culturally inclusive school atmosphere aligned with Catholic values

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work;
Master’s preferred

• Registered or eligible for SASW registration

• Knowledge of Indigenous counselling methodologies

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Commitment to community and student engagement
