Support Indigenous learners as an Indigenous Student Support Teacher at North Battleford Comprehensive High School, starting June 1, 2026. This role delivers personalized coaching and culturally affirming support for students' academic journeys. Living Sky School Division is searching for a temporary teacher to enhance educational experiences for Indigenous students through the ISSI program. In this position, you will develop robust relationships with students and families to foster engagement, attendance, and successful outcomes.
Collaboration with classroom staff and community will be crucial to achieving these goals.
- Offer individual academic coaching to Indigenous students
- Manage and support student graduation-related goals
- Encourage attendance through outreach and engagement
- Work alongside teachers and community partners
- Promote inclusive and culturally responsive educational practices
- Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate is required
- Experience with Indigenous student populations preferred
- Ability to foster respectful student relationships
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
- Skilled in engaging with diverse learning needs
