Autism Teacher Specialist in Annapolis Valley

Become an Autism Teacher Specialist with the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, fostering professional development for students with autism. This part-time role emphasizes collaboration and effective support strategies.

Starting August 1, 2026, this 0.49 FTE term position involves significant leadership and assessment of educational needs for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder. You will work closely with educational teams, allocate resources, and implement individualized program plans to enhance student learning. This role also focuses on collaborating with the Department of Education and partner agencies to optimize service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead professional development initiatives for autism education

Requirements:

• Valid Nova Scotia Teaching License
