Canada Summer Jobs Temp Canada Hybrid $21 CAD per hour

RequirementsThis is a Canada Summer Jobs placement, a program funded by the Government of Canada. To be eligible, you must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age.
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

In this role, you’ll be part of a team supporting youth programs and community partnerships in Saskatoon and the surrounding area. We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, reliable, and excited to learn.
Program & Community Work- Research and create prevention and upstream resource libraries and content.
- Support activities with youth groups, schools, and community organizations; help deliver programming alongside facilitators.
- Work with team members to contribute to short‑term community initiatives over the summer.
- Connect to projects related to employment, tech design, social polarization, global goals and healthy relationships through “Take Our Kids to Work”, “Hearing Unheard Moments”, “Digital Defenders”, “Storm & De‑norm”, “Sustainable Development Goals”, “Be The Program” and “Digital Resistance Project”.
- Support young people to participate, lead, and feel included in activities.
- Help plan and run events, programs and focus groups as needed.
- Learn how to support basic research and evaluation projects.
- Help gather feedback and stories from youth participants.
- Attend weekly virtual professional development meetings.
- Work with a team (including academic partners) on projects that may be shared online, at events, or in publications.
- Learn how to turn information and feedback into content.
- Help create materials, content and resources for different audiences, including youth and community partners.
- Build positive relationships with people of different ages and backgrounds.
- Work on community recommendations to integrate youth voice into decision‑making structures.
- Join team meetings.
- Complete timesheets and basic admin tasks on time.
- Track your schedule and time off using our system.
- Participate in regular check‑ins and reflect on your learning and growth.
All new hires at the Students Commission of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program in 2026 will be integrated into our Art of Work program, which includes:
- Being invited to participate in a research study to share your story of youth employment.
- Participating in weekly professional development workshops/training.
- Gaining access to a national network of youth ages 15‑30 who are employed in varying contexts across the country.
