In this volunteer role, you will work one-on-one with two elementary students to foster their reading development. Each volunteer will hold sessions lasting 30 minutes, twice a week over the course of eight weeks. You will receive training that covers key reading methods and strategies and will have access to all necessary resources. This program runs for four terms annually: fall, winter, spring, and summer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist two students in enhancing reading skills
• Conduct individual sessions twice weekly
• Complete training on reading techniques
• Utilize provided resources for sessions
• Create a welcoming environment for learners
Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Criminal Record Check required
• Minimum CLB 8 needed
