Position: Summer Youth Employment
The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following summer employment positions:
Dumont Technical Institute – 1 FT Position
Responsibilities:

Assisting with student recruitment

Ordering, collecting, recording and organizing program resources

Preparing monthly reports on activities conducted

Other duties as assigned

Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment – 2 FT Positions
Responsibilities:

Special projects

Office coverage

Representation of GDI at provincial events

Organizing resources

General office duties

Travel throughout the province required

Other duties as assigned

Gabriel Dumont Institute Culture & Heritage – 1 FT Position
Responsibilities:

Researching

Museum maintenance

Material production

Ordering, collecting, recording and organizing program resources

Preparing monthly reports on activities conducted

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Applicants must be youth aged 15–30. The ideal candidate would be Métis, possess excellent public communication skills, good report writing skills and general computer skills. A valid driver’s license is an asset. These positions are funded under the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
