Join the Gabriel Dumont Institute as a Sessional Instructor for an engaging Introduction to Drama course. Guide students through theatre arts while nurturing their creative skills this Fall in Saskatoon.
The position calls for an experienced instructor for the DRAM 114.3 course. You'll provide hands-on instruction that encourages creative exploration, builds confidence, and supports storytelling abilities in students. Being culturally responsive and fostering an effective learning environment are pivotal for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver engaging instructional plans
• Introduce theatre arts to inspire students' creativity
• Encourage performance confidence through active participation
• Evaluate student progress with constructive feedback
• Adapt teaching approaches to include cultural responsiveness
Requirements:
• Master's degree or relevant training in drama
• Proven communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Adaptability and flexibility in teaching methods
• Knowledge of drama and creative writing
