SOC 208-500 - Inequality and Social Justice - Winter 2027 - Saskatoon Face-to-Face

Position Title:

SOC 208-500 Inequality and Social Justice (Winter 2027, Saskatoon). This course introduces students to sociological perspectives on issues of inequality and social justice, analyzing origins, consequences, and mechanisms of social inequalities.

Face-to-face, scheduled Tuesdays 14:30–17:15, in Concourse, Saskatoon. Class dates Jan 6 – Apr 12, 2027. Term:
Jan 1 – Apr 30, 2027.

Term & Salary:
Term position under URFA Collective Agreement, salary as per URFA.

Office hour: one per week.

Responsibilities
  • Teach the SOC 208-500 course, delivering lectures and facilitating class discussions.
  • Prepare course materials and manage classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including Moodle).
  • Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Attend faculty meetings and other assigned university duties.
Qualifications
  • Hold a MA in Sociology.
  • Have a record of effective teaching at the post‑secondary level.
  • Experience in managing classroom and online technologies (Moodle).
  • Ability to work in Canada and entitled to work legally in Canada.
