Location: Warman
Become an essential part of the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education as an EAL Teacher. This full-time opportunity centers on enhancing the experiences of EAL students through effective policies and practices.
In this role, you will lead the implementation of EAL policies, assess school needs for resource allocation, and facilitate collaboration among teaching staff. Your guidance will also extend to developing programs and measuring EAL students’ progress, ensuring their success in a culturally vibrant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support implementation of EAL policies and guidelines
• Conduct assessments for staffing and resource allocation
• Provide leadership and support to educational staff
• Create professional development opportunities for teachers
• Assist in the placement of newcomer students
Requirements:
• Valid Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate
• At least five years of teaching experience
• Experience with diverse student populations
• Relevant EAL training or certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Lead regional EAL efforts and foster cultural sensitivity for student success in Annapolis Valley schools.
