Location: Warman
Take on the role of EAL Teacher with the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, focusing on supporting English language learners. This full-time position is vital for navigating EAL policies and promoting student success.
Your primary responsibilities will include guiding schools in their EAL implementations, assessing needs for staff and resources, and fostering effective communication among stakeholders. You will also design programs and evaluate student progress, contributing to the overall educational enhancement within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and support EAL policies in schools
• Assess needs for appropriate staffing and resources
• Lead staff consultations on EAL program delivery
• Plan professional development sessions for teachers
• Support the placement of newcomer EAL students
Requirements:
• Hold a valid Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate
• Have a minimum of five years teaching experience
• Be experienced with diverse cultural contexts
• Possess training in EAL methodologies
• Exhibit exceptional leadership and communication skills
Be a leader in EAL education and enhance the learning experiences of students in the Annapolis Valley.
