Part-Time School Counsellor in Maymont

Make a difference as a School Counsellor with Living Sky School Division. This temporary part-time role focuses on student well-being in Maymont and Hafford, starting August 26, 2026.

Living Sky School Division No. 202 is looking for a dedicated part-time School Counsellor to support students from August 26, 2026, to January 29, 2027. Your responsibilities include providing counselling for both individuals and groups, promoting positive mental health, and collaborating with families and agencies. Focused on inclusivity, you will help build resilience and support a safe school environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide responsive counselling supports for students individually and in groups.

• Support student well‑being through preventative initiatives.

• Assist schools with emotional and mental health concerns.

• Collaborate with school teams and community agencies.

• Participate in crisis response efforts as needed.

Requirements:

• Certification as a school counsellor as per Alberta regulations.

• Experience in counselling students in an educational setting.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Commitment to inclusive and supportive education.

• Ability to promote mental health and well-being.
