Location: Duck Lake
Join the Indian Teacher Education Program as a Sessional Lecturer to teach POLS 222.3, focusing on Indigenous Governance and Politics in Fall 2026.
The College of Education is looking for an Out-of-Scope Sessional Lecturer to facilitate live lectures at Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation. You will prepare lessons, engage students through discussions, and design assessments aligned with Indigenous pedagogical approaches. Knowledge of First Nations and Métis cultures is essential for supporting respectful learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver in-person lectures on Indigenous Governance
• Create assessments promoting Indigenous ways of knowing
• Offer ongoing support and feedback to students
• Collaborate with educational programs for course enhancement
• Participate in preparation and marking activities
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Political Studies or similar
• Demonstrated experience in Indigenous education
• Availability for course delivery on set days
• Valid driver’s license for off-campus sessions
• Understanding of decolonization in education
