Beardy's Sessional Lecturer

Position: Beardy's 322 Sessional Lecturer Opening
Location: Duck Lake

Contribute to the ITEP at the College of Education as a Sessional Lecturer for EDST 322 in Beardy's and Okemasis Cree Nation. This seasonal position focuses on relational curriculum delivery from January to April 2027.

The Indian Teacher Education Program seeks experienced educators for its Winter 2027 session. A Master’s degree or equivalent is required, along with prior teaching experience that embodies Indigenous methodologies. You will lead lectures for no more than 35 students and adapt teaching to community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver impactful curriculum lectures

• Assess student understanding and engagement

• Create reciprocal learning experiences with Indigenous perspectives

• Schedule and coordinate course details with the program

• Contribute to indigenization efforts in education

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Education or related discipline

• Demonstrated professional teaching experience

• Strong understanding of Indigenous culture and principles

• Valid driver's license for potential off-campus courses

• Dedication to equity and diversity in education
