Lecturer in Psychology

Enhance students’ understanding of Psychology with a Sessional Lecturer position in Saskatoon for the  session. Teaching will focus on in-person courses with substantial enrollment.

The Department of Psychology and Health Studies is seeking a skilled Sessional Lecturer to teach essential courses like Biological and Cognitive Bases of Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. Candidates must have a psychology degree and prior teaching experience. This role impacts approximately 500 students, ensuring educational excellence in two terms of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach in-person lectures for designated Psychology courses

• Prepare engaging course materials for diverse student groups

• Assess student performance with timely feedback

• Guide students in psychological concepts and applications

• Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum effectiveness

Requirements:

• Degree in Psychology or equivalent

• Proven teaching experience in academic settings

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage large classroom environments

• Valid driver's license for off-campus courses
