Instructor, Agricultural Equipment Technician; AET

Position: Instructor, Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET)
Job Responsibilities   Instruct in the AET certificate program, CNH Top Tech, and the AET JD Tech apprenticeship courses.
Deliver coursework and courses to students at various start times during the day and on weekends.
Provide instruction to students enrolled in the AET program.
Design and implement a student‑centered learning environment using an outcome‑based approach either face‑to‑face or online.
Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures, and demonstrations using principles of adult learning.
Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed.
Use digital tools proficiently, including general office applications.
Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods.
Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
Respond to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
Pursue professional development opportunities to stay current with employer and educational requirements.
Mentor students concerning educational opportunities, industry expectations, and career goals.
Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment.
Attend program and school meetings.
Qualifications   Grade 12 or equivalent.
Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in the Agricultural Equipment Technician trade.
Two years of recent or relevant post‑journeyperson experience as an Agricultural Equipment Technician.
Effective instructional ability.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Effective communication skills.
Competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, email, MS Office Suite, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
Ability to function as a team member in an ever‑changing environment.
Demonstrates valuing diversity.
Knowledge of precision farming and guidance systems and supporting technical service support programs is essential;
New Holland and/or Case certifications are beneficial.
Adept at utilizing manufacturers OEM online technical manuals and support systems.
Experience delivering and developing online student support material to enhance student learning for AET Saskpolytech students.
Experience utilizing the web‑based Brightspace learning platform to deliver program course material in person and online, creating supporting course material and training aids as required.
