The First Nations University of Canada is hiring five temporary student assistants for its Indigenous Language Camps. This role is ideal for students in Indigenous Studies or related fields, and involves participant outreach, camp logistics, and collaborative operation with Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills alongside a respectful approach to Indigenous cultures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and coordinating Indigenous Language Camps
• Support participant recruitment and outreach efforts
• Help with camp scheduling and logistics planning
• Provide support to Elders and language instructors
• Maintain organized and welcoming learning environments
Requirements:
• Enrolled in post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset
• Strong organizational and communication skills needed
• Ability to travel and support on-site camp needs
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s licence preferred
