Become a part-time Safety Instructor with ERM in Santa Clara, CA, focusing on hands-on safety training for wood and machine shop equipment. Impart your knowledge and help others enhance their skills in a practical setting.
You will provide instruction on safe operating procedures, equipment maintenance, and hazard identification.
Your role is key in facilitating training sessions that ensure the safety and operational competency of participants. Collaboration with safety professionals will ensure training consistency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct live demonstrations for safety training
• Train participants on safe equipment use and maintenance
• Supervise practice sessions and provide real-time feedback
• Identify safety hazards associated with tool use
• Promote behavior-based safety principles and PPE usage
Requirements:
• High school diploma required, bachelor's preferred
• Demonstrated experience with wood and machine shop tools
• Ability to effectively communicate safety protocols
• Strong understanding of equipment-related hazards
